At Nura Noor Learning Center, we are dedicated to empowering families of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Our services are designed to provide guidance, advocacy, and practical support every step of the way.

 

 

1. SEND Consultation

 

 

  • One-to-one consultations to guide parents through the SEND process.

  • Support with understanding SEN Support and Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).

  • Advice on identifying the right school placement and available local services.

 

 

 

2. Parent Workshops & Training

 

 

  • Interactive workshops to help parents gain knowledge and confidence.

  • Training on understanding your child’s rights, navigating the education system, and practical strategies for home support.

  • Sessions on early intervention, communication strategies, and behavior management.

 

 

 

3. Advocacy & Representation

 

 

  • Accompanying parents to school meetings, Local Authority reviews, and annual reviews.

  • Acting as a voice for families to ensure their child’s needs are clearly represented.

  • Helping parents write professional letters and submissions for EHCP assessments or appeals.

 

 

 

4. Parent Offload Sessions

 

 

  • One-to-one emotional support sessions to help parents process challenges.

  • Safe, confidential space to discuss concerns and explore solutions.

  • Empowerment coaching to build resilience and confidence.

 

 

 

5. SEND Play Sundays

 

 

  • Inclusive play sessions designed for children with SEND and their families.

  • Access to sensory-friendly activities, structured play, and peer interaction opportunities.

  • A supportive environment where parents can network and share experiences.

 

 

 

6. Community Partnerships

 

 

  • Collaboration with schools, therapists, and health professionals to bridge the gap for families.

  • Signposting to local services, therapies, and community resources.

  • Building networks that strengthen early intervention and family support.

 

 

 

7. Early Intervention Support

 

 

  • Guidance on identifying early signs of developmental delay or learning needs.

  • Helping families access speech and language therapy (SLT), occupational therapy (OT), and other specialist interventions.
